the Kate Effect..

Fashion inspiration by Rinky Jain & Vaishali Doshi

Kate was born in 1982 and is the eldest child of Carole and Michael Middleton.
Her lavish wedding with Prince William at Westminster Abbey in April 2011 was one of the grand events of modern British Royal pageantry. With the impact she has on millions of women around the world, it’s safe to say that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is one of the most influential women in fashion today. “Queen of Style,” “Princess of Fashion,” “Style Icon” are in fact very apt characterizations of the pinnacle.

Look 1 – Back in 2017 was the first time we saw the peplum two-piece, when she stepped out to attend the Guild of Health Writers Conference with Heads Together at Chandos House in London.

Look 2 – In October 2016, she wore this Catherine Walker & Co. Design coat with her hair down and simple pearl earrings as she walked hand-in-hand with Princess Charlotte in Canada. In April 2017, Kate paired the tailored piece with a Jackie Kennedy style pillbox hat and matching clutch for a prim and proper look perfect for an Easter Sunday church service.

Look 3– The Duchess of Cambridge looked chic recycling her boucle wool blend skirt by Dolce & Gabbana for an outing to a women’s prison and center in Gloucester.

Look 4– While attending a Sunday church service at Sandringham, she wrapped up warm in a blue Catherine Walker & Co coat, which she previously wore during an engagement in Oslo.

Look 5 – Kate Middleton set a record recycling her beloved red skirt suit by Luisa Spagnoli for the fourth time for her 20

Look 6– During her royal train tour of the UK last December, Kate recycled her pleated tartan Emilia Wickstead skirt, which she first wore in 2019 to host a Christmas party at Kensington Place with Prince William.

The Jaw-dropping trail: Kate Middleton stunned royal watchers around the world when she stepped out onto the red carpet leading into Westminster Abbey and finally revealed the first full look of her wedding dress. Kate wanted her dress to “combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterizes Alexander McQueen’s work.” She worked closely with English designer Sarah Burton, creative director of beloved English fashion house Alexander McQueen, “giving the cut and the intricate embellishment a distinctive, contemporary and feminine character.”

So being kate our inspiration and recreating one of her looks we decided on the Jaw-dropping trail.. and created a small reel and photoshoot on it.
