slow and steady wins the race!

We all have heard the most famous story of turtle and rabbit where the turtle wins even though it was slow enough. Similarly, if we talk about fast fashion v/s slow fashion we all know that slow fashion is going to be our future winner. Slow fashion is all about quality and not quantity.

Just as we see how Alex refers fast fashion to be an epidemic in our life and we have to fight it out no matter what! Just as him it was until my trip to New Zealand, I realized how beautiful nature is and what % of my life I am doing to save it? Not even 0.5! I love clothes, I love shopping, I love being fashionable all the time but is it worth? Its through Alex James video you see the landfills and you realize how punishable we are and we will be for our future generations!

He has mentioned how street has started copying the catwalk creating cheaper fashion and catching eye rolls of the consumers, but somewhere I feel more than that the fashion influencers and bloggers are the people who literally create fashion hauls, trending posts or video influencing the consumers to purchase more and more garments and make it a one time wear ultimately creating a chaos for the environment and making us feel guilty. If you remember his experiment of wool and acrylic from the video you will realize how much toxic we are wearing and putting our selves in danger just for the sake of looking good and fashionable. Also, the biodegradable experiment of prince makes us believe how natural fibers are healthier for both environment and us.

So, what can we do? And how can we solve this? Can we bring a change? Yes, we can! We as consumers we can make conscious purchase and not just get dragged into cheap prices offered to us and look for the repercussions coming around it. We can follow the ethical ways or look through for sustainable fashion and create a mark around us. It’s us who has to start and now!

Thank you, see you soon..
